Day One of Being Home

Well this is my first day home from Iraq and it’s going pretty well. I woke up real early because I couldn’t sleep. I had Elios’ Pizza for breakfast. I called everyone letting them know I am back. I went to the mall for a bit and got some clothes to wear while I am here. I called Western Union to see about getting money but I need to call my bank on Monday and get them to send it to me. Good news is that there is no charge and it only takes an hour so at like 10 o clock on Monday I should have plenty of cash. I just got home and I am already running errands for my mother. It’s ok because I get to borrow the car so I don’t have to use the bus. Never knew how much I could actually miss my car.

As for doing the things I wanted to do I really only did one thing. I visited friends and family. I seen a few friends and I seen my grandparents. I will see my other grandparents on Tuesday. They live in NYC so I can kill a few birds with one stone. Tuesday I am going into the city to link up with my cousin. Then I will head back with him to Long Island and spend some time out there.

Not much else to report on as of yet just enjoying this cooler weather. Oh and not having to work is great too. I am trying not to eat so much and I want to exercise a little bit too. I don’t want to go back to Iraq fat because I will have a real hard time adjusting. Well I am off. Later
