I seen a bumper sticker the other day that read “evolution is a conspiracy”. That’s a pretty bold statement. A conspiracy of that magnitude would really be impossible. Why would so many scientists push a theory they didn’t believe was true? I can’t see how they have anything to gain with evolution so why make it up?

I think most scientists, especially the good ones don’t have an agenda. It’s sort of the same in my field. I really don’t care what type of web site the customer has; it could be pornography or religious forums, it really doesn’t matter to me. My goal is to keep the site up and serving as quickly as it can. Because of the lack of agenda I can concentrate on the issue at hand and not the content of the site. I think good scientists work in this manner as well. I’m sure many evolution proponents wouldn’t mind seeing it debunked as long as they got a good explanation of why. In the same token, I never mind having my faults pointed out at work so long as reasons and fixes are provided after.
