I just found an article about the security of Homeland Security and it looks as though they failed miserably. This really isn’t surprising considering all the stupid shit that comes from them all the time anyway but what I found interesting was the way it was reported. From Fox “Several government agencies within the Department of Homeland Security admit they are regularly victims of computer break-ins at home and overseas by hackers finding their way into the department’s cyber network.”

Now from News.com “In response to reports of persistent cybersecurity flaws at the Department of Homeland Security, a top congressional Democrat on Wednesday questioned whether the agency’s chief information officer deserves to keep his job.”

And ZDNet “The man in charge of IT security for the US Homeland Security department may lose his job after the revelations that his department’s IT systems have misconfigured firewalls, suspicious botnet activity, trojans and virus infections.”

I guess Fox News has an ‘obligation’ to not say anything negative against the Government. Below are the links to the actual articles.
