An update to my gypsy situation:

Well she’s still living in my extra bedroom but I think she’s almost gone. I’ve been pressuring her to find a place but she really hasn’t complied so I’ve switched tactics. Last night I assigned her a homework assignment to do a book report on one of my favorite books (Old Man and the Sea by Hemmingway). I also had her write 5 goals she has on a peiece of paper.

I’m not quite sure if she will comply but this should be a win win. She will either be so pissed about this that she’ll just take a hike and I get my room back or she does the work and does something besides pay video games. I also think putting her goals down on paper will help a great deal. My belief is that people without goals are bound to be lazy because they don’t have any reasons to work hard at anything.

This whole situation has become so troublesome. My advice to anyhow will be to turn down anyone looking for a place to “crash”.
