Screw My Readers
What the hell is up with all the political oriented blogs? I like reading other peoples shit but I hate the fact that two thirds of the blogs I see are not only political but they are almost always extremists. It’s either some right winger who believes that Bush was sent from god to make the world a safer place or some liberal nut who has elitist conversations in some coffee shop.
I know I have posted some political view points in the past but I like to think of my blog more as a journal, a real public one. I just like posting my ideas and thoughts when they pop into my head and getting feedback whether it be good or bad. I think people need to chill out and stop dividing the country. This red and blue state shit needs to go. Personally I would do away with political parties altogether. Can’t we just vote for the better man? Why are some people compelled to vote for someone because they are a Democrat or Republican? Vote for who you want but use logic to come to your conclusion. Later.
/*Oh yeah the title had nothing to do with the post. Just bored.*/

Hell yeah man. Complete behind you on this. Freedom of speech is one thing, but don’t go holier-than-thou on us. A future of a country is determined by the ideals you prefer in the people you want representing you. Not the general party consensus about things.
That just doesn’t make sense.
First of all, I’d like to say a big ’screw you’ for starting to get me into this whole blog stuff but this is helping me pass the time.
Anyways,… I honestly do think that, on the whole, people do vote for who they think is the best man. I agree to an extent with you about wiping out all political parties and having every man run for himself. A serious problem with the American voting system is that even though there are official “third parties”, nobody gives a damn about them. People who try to run as ‘third party’ candidates usually get put on the backburner because their funds are only a fracton of what the Dems/Reps are and, as is evident every 4 years in this country, the general public is only truely concerned with whoever they see most on television (for another example of this, just look at all the tabloids near the supermarket register counter). Most people out there are apathetic and lazy. It’s just as simple as that.
Excellent post!

Thank you for saying what most of us non-extremists are thinking.

Everyone on my “Do Not View List” are political blogs. It’s driving me crazy. I’d be happier reading blogs about knitting or how to grow rice or something. Nice blog, by the way!
Man, do I agree with you on this one. There are a butt-load of political and/or religious bloggs out there. Im tired of it, but hey, to each his own.
You know what is so funny, I am surfing blogs on Blogexplosion, and the 2 blogs before I got to yours were blistering, right-wing, God rules all blogs. I started to get really pissed, but I’ve learned to bite my tongue and not go off on their completely one-sided, unobjective opinions.
I am mostly a liberal, but what’s funny is alot (not ALL) mind you, of us just want to “get along”. It’s cool if you like God, but don’t get pissed at me because I want to protect the environment or don’t mind gays being married. You get to go to church without any crap, so let them get married. It’s a give and take thing.
By the way, my intention was not to post anonymous but for some reason it wasn’t letting me sign in. My blog is at http://32andlife2go.blogspot.com, and 75% of it is non-political.
Alright Seth,
I just started this blog stuff, so I mostly just surf, but I had to comment on what you write. I read quite a few posts, agreeing with most everything. I will admit I am a republican but I don’t/won’t talk politics! It’s my personal opinion and I don’t feel the need to bombard anyone with that opinion! I wish others would feel the way I do. Anyway, just wanted to tell you I think you’re cool. Keep on keeping on.
A-freaking-men. It gets old. Especially to see so many blogs totally ripping the other side. Such bull to assume all of one party are idiots (seems to be a big one on both sides, funny enough). I didn’t realize your party was an indication of your intelligence.
I’m an independent, and a down-the-middle one, and damn proud of it lately. Seeing a lot of this drama lately makes me glad not to be lumped with either side.
I have my own blog, so I should stop blabbing in yours. Just wanted to let you know you are so on-target here.

Man I agree. People just need to get along and try to work together on some shit. I dont’ care if someone has a didfferent view them me but when they go around and start bashing someone elses blog thats just not right. Friend of mine got done that way.
I agree as well. Only that you must realize you showed your divisive angle by calling liberals “nuts” & “elitists”, while considerably offering a softer blow to Republicans who think Bush can actually save the world (I thin you believe he might not be so powerful).
So guess what? You’re playing along with the bandwagons just as well as anyone else.
Welcome to pressure of political culture.

Bingo. I guess that most of the people who feel the desire to set up politcal blogs are extremists. It sucks that there seems to be such a divide these days between right and left - I know there has always been a gap but it seems that the gap is only getting wider as time goes on. Bah.
Like your blog btw
Rut-oh. I hope I wasn’t the one who inspired the post. Fair enough, though. Let me know if you want the link removed.
Agree *roll eyes*
I hate all that politician blogs. There’s ones supporting Bush, others supporting Kerry & another one hating Hilary Clinton. For God’s sake!
Fuck all them.
I’ve come to resent the right wing thugs who started this war and their hate media avocates/hypocrites (e.g. Rush the drug addict and O’Reilly the pervert).
I equally dislike the far lefties who side with terrorists and fascists in the Middle East over America and Israel.
Amen. Political talk gets boring.
I’d like to apologize on behalf of non-personal bloggers for posting articles of substance. The world is so much better off with posts that start out, “What’s your favorite song?” and “I slept late this morning.”

I am sorry that my blog doesn’t make the world any better off. Wait no that’s bullshit! I am not sorry why should I be? I don’t do this blog for the world or you or anyone else who is reading this. I do this for me. It makes me happy and makes my little “world” a better place. Oh and your blog isn’t a prize either. Hmm posts about UFOs and playing footsie are not exactly life altering. Later.
