What won’t people fall for? People will take anything if given in the correct manner. I guess it all starts from childhood. Our mothers try to get us to swallow some pill or chew on some vitamin and we don’t want it. So what does she do? She breaks it up in yogurt and we open wide.

In the 50s communism was in. For those of you who don’t know the history it was basically our terrorism. The government even set up a committee called the House on Un-American Activities Committee. Un-American activities huh? Basically their job was to find “communists”. To make things really public they went after movie stars. Hell, even Lucille Ball was a suspected communist. Apparently the government didn’t love Lucy as much as everyone else. People can’t take something like this easy just like a child can’t swallow a pill easily. So the government breaks the “pill” up. They give us things we want with catchy words like communist and un-American. Everyone has problems and we all want someone to blame them on.

The Nazis blamed the Jews for their problems at the time. It wasn’t a German’s fault he was out of work it was some Jewish guys fault. That makes you feel good knowing that it’s not your fault. This is great for the government too because instead of looking at them you are looking at the “problem”. It’s just like some cheap parlor trick. You look at the left hand while the right pulls the quarter from behind your ear. But in this case the left hand is some minority population and the right hand is the government. The most ironic part of this is that it happened over and over and we fall for it every time like a 6 year having a quarter pulled from his ear.

It still goes on. Terrorism! Gee what a bad word. The government tells you how scary the threat is and how they are here to protect us. In truth they just want us to watch the wrong hand. We don’t really get TV out here just a few channels. One of them happens to be CNN. Lately they have had these commercials about nuclear weapons and how much of a threat they are to us. These commercials are in horrible taste. Totally bias. They even quote some “expert” who says, “the use of nuclear weapons against the United States is more likely than not”. Gee what a great way to scare the American public. This show they are promoting is either some propaganda to get more support for the war or just one of those false news headlines. You know the ones I am talking about. It’s like at 5 o clock they say something like, “A new survey shows that your children are at risk! Tune in at 11 for more”. If our children are at such a risk why wait 6 hours? Ratings! Most people watch the news earlier in the day so to get more ratings at 11 they scare people into tuning in. Just once stay up and watch the story at 11 and see what happens, you will be disappointed I promise. It ends up only affecting .01% of the population and even then it’s sketchy but that’s not the reason for the story. The reason for the story was to get you to turn on your TV at 11 so you can watch some more commercials that help pay the bills.
